Global Mobility, Efficiency and Environmental Responsibility
Commercial air transport, unlike any other industry segment, provides a large variety of global opportunities and challenges.
The civil aircraft sector is booming, mainly driven by the rapidly growing global mobility needs, particularly in the Asia-Pacific and Indian markets. Rising fuel and operating costs as well as growing environmental awareness among competing passenger and cargo carriers put significant pressure on aircraft and engine manufacturers to innovate.
Modern, low-noise and fuel-efficient aircraft are required for viable air transport in the future. In the area of tension between the environment and realities of economics, all stakeholders in the "Commercial Air Transport" system must be involved: aircraft and engine manufacturers, airlines, airport operators, air navigation service providers, financial institutions, MRO service providers, associations and research institutes as well as national and European political authorities.
ILA Berlin Air Show provides the relevant platform, brings all these target groups together and will thus be increasingly important for both manufacturers and airlines.
