More than 100 commitments, six new customers and a prominent technology partner: the Microliner gathers tailwind for market entry at ILA.
Among the giants of the industry, a Munich start-up held its own at ILA Berlin 2026 with one clear number: VÆRIDION has now collected more than 100 commitments for its electric Microliner, with six new customers added at the show. The battery-electric regional aircraft is designed to serve short routes emission-free and open up new connections beyond the big hubs.
On the technology side, the company reported two milestones: the preliminary design review is complete, and its first commercial cooperation has started with General Atomics for an airborne battery system. A young German company and an American group, brought together on the Berlin fairgrounds.
ILA as a start-up stage
The Microliner story shows a strength of ILA that goes beyond large orders: start-ups meet airlines, suppliers, investors and policy-makers here within one week. Whoever wants to fly electric by 2030 found their customers in Berlin in 2026.
