The Drone Pavilion at ILA Berlin 2026 takes drone technology where it belongs: into the air. Located in the Defence Park, a dedicated pavilion with an integrated drone cage for live flight demonstrations, a pitch stage and direct access to the German Armed Forces and the Military Support Centre. This is where manufacturers, start-ups, armed forces and political decision-makers come together.

Drones belong in the air. In the Drone Cage, you can experience flight systems live and in action, up close and weather-independent.

Autonomous swarms in competition
MBDA and brigkAIR are hosting the Swarm Drone Challenge 2026: international teams from companies, start-ups and universities compete in the Drone Pavilion. In capture-the-flag scenarios, drone swarms must autonomously solve tactical tasks and demonstrate their capabilities in swarm coordination, communication and artificial intelligence.
A high-calibre jury from industry, research, politics and the armed forces evaluates innovation, technical implementation and operational capability. Patron: Dr. Reinhard Brandl, Member of the German Bundestag.
